Results from celebrating International Working Women’s Day for voice work

Every once in a while, a holiday comes along that no one speaks of or rarely talks about, that you know, or maybe you did not and Google Doodle shows you.

Well…If you did not know, March 8th was International Working Women’s Day.

Sponsored by the United Nations, the roots of this day go back to the late 1800’s to early 1900s. It grew from women’s socialist movements and early women’s trade union groups. The first International Women’s Day was held March 19, 1911. Women socialists and trade unions held an earlier Women’s Day on the last Sunday in February, 1908. The event grew from there and has been celebrated annually since. The purpose: Draw attention to women workers, and advancing women’s rights in  the workforce, politics and society.

Voice123 took a chance to celebrate by posting a job with SmartCast  and sharing it in several international Facebook groups.
